IPE is an exotic hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot and decay, is extremely durable and has an attractive dark color. It is 2.7x harder than White Oak which is considered one of the strongest lumbers in the world and 8x harder than California Redwood. It is often used in high-end residential and commercial projects.
